Family Wellbeing and Safety

Strong Families, Safe Homes, Supported Communities

Girudala supports families to stay connected, safe and strong.

Our family wellbeing work is grounded in culture, compassion and dignity. We understand that every family story is different, and we meet people where they are.

We offer confidential, respectful and non judgmental support.

How we Support Families

Support may include:

  • Emotional and practical support
  • Culturally grounded wellbeing conversations
  • Safety planning and family violence support
  • Connection to specialist services when needed
  • Advocacy and guidance through systems

We walk alongside families, not ahead of them. Decisions are made together, at the person’s pace.

Why It Matters

Our goal is to keep families strong and connected, reducing the over-representation of Indigenous families in child protection.
